Does getting a tattoo hurt?
It varies from person to person, but it’s not as much as you might think. Generally clients will describe it around a level of nippy burny or scratchy pain, more annoying and uncomfortable than actually sore.
Is it safe to get a tattoo?
Yes. I am registered with the health department, follow all their guidelines on sterilisation and procedures. There are certain medical conditions that can cause problems, which we will ask about beforehand, and if in doubt consult your doctor. I provide the safest environment possible in order to uphold our already strict guidelines, then it’s up to you to follow my aftercare advice to ensure proper healing of the tattoo.
How much does it cost to get a tattoo?
Each tattoo is individually priced, based on various factors. For multiple session pieces I generally charge £80 per hour, although certain factors may vary this slightly. The only way to get an accurate price quote on a design you are looking to get, is to come into the studio and speak with me.
When should I not get a tattoo?
Certain medical conditions prevent tattooing, other than that you should not get a tattoo when you are drunk or hungover. Pregnant or recently pregnant women can’t get tattoos.
You also shouldn’t get one if you are not 100% certain it’s what you want.
What tattoo designs can I chose from?
I have books of designs available in the studio, and am always happy to work with clients that bring their own designs in, I also design individual tattoos for clients based on their own specifications.
How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 to get a tattoo. That is the law and I abide by it.
Parental consent does not apply with tattoos. You must be over 18, that’s it.
